On 9.10.11@12 noon the U of M Alumni Association Let the Cat Out of the Bag! At this event, ALL 100 of the Tiger statues were gathered on the U of M campus for the community to see together in one place. Thank you to our Tiger family that came to welcome the Tigers to town! Each statue is uniquely decorated with artwork by Mid-South artists, students and alumni. The goal of Tigers Around Town is to not only recognize the Centennial of the University of Memphis, but to impressively illustrate the city's rich history and relationship with the U of M.
The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art visited the fourth grade this week. Its Art in the Basic Curriculum (ABC) program is a partnership between the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and twenty elementary schools in the city of Memphis. It provides art education to fourth- and fifth-graders enrolled in Memphis City and Jubilee schools. Ms. Molly was a hit with our students and they enjoyed creating their dream museum corner exhibits.
