We are going to have a small Valentine's Day party Thursday, February 12th, at noon. We will have pizza, drinks and something sweet, and let the kids exchange Valentines. To cover the cost of food and drink, we are asking each student to bring in $4 by Thursday MORNING, the 12th. As usual, all parents are invited to come hang out during the party, which will go until about 12:45. A special thank you to Jennifer Kellett for putting this together for our class!
3. To help your child prepare for our Forces in Nature Test (2/13/15) please review the following concepts:
- A force is the only thing that can cause acceleration.
- An angle of contact, the pull of gravity, and the amount of friction are examples of forces acting upon an object to change its velocity.
- A force will have the most effect on an object with the least mass.
- An example of negative acceleration is a kicked soccer ball slowing down.
- An example of Newton's Second Law of Motion is a bowling ball being thrown down the lane.
The registration form for Spring Intersession has a mistake. Mrs. Walters' class - Le'Go My Legos is listed as afternoon, but it will be offered in the morning session (8:00 - 11:00).
